The Hampton University indoor track and field teams competed in two meets this weekend at Liberty University and Christopher Newport University.

At Liberty, two school records fell along with four spots in the Big South Conference All-Time list for the Pirates.

The school records that were broken in Lynchburg started with
Ayana Culhane taking second in the women's shot put with a toss of 14.3 meters (46 feet 11 inches). That throw puts her ninth on the All-Time Big South Conference list.
Â
In the men's 500 meters,Â
Jaelen Williams placed second setting a school record time of 1:02.14, which is the third fastest in the Big South record book.

Meet highlights
WOMEN
- In the 200-meter dash, Isis Brooks finished second with a 24.94 and Autumn Smith taking tenth with a 25.53.Â
- Hampton placed two in the top seven in the 60 hurdles: Autumn Smith won it in 8.78, whileFaith McMillian was seventh in 9.12.
- Smith, Alysha Evans, Shakeira Jenkins, Sashana Hinds placed sixth in the 4x400 relay with a 3:56.96.
- In the high jump Jailyn Raines placed seventh with a 5-1 leap.
- Kiyanna Thomas took ninth in the shot put with a 43-1.75.
- Culhane finished eighth in the weight throw with a 16.63-meter toss (54-6.75) which is also eighth all-time in the Big South Conference.

MEN
- In the 400, Moffat Wanjiru finished eighth with a time of 49.91.
- Khalil Gary finished sixth in the 500 with a 1:05.93.
- Geoffrey McCullough ran a 1:55.91 in the 800 for an eighth place finish.
- In the 4x4 relay, Price, Jerrick Powell, Tayvon Burris, Williams ran an ECAC qualifying 3:12.13 for a second place finish and the third fastest time all-time in the Big South Conference. Douglas Sessoms, Gary, Wanjiru, McCullough placed seventh with a 3:22.24.
- Williams, Gary, Burris, and McCullough ran an ECAC qualifying time of 7:49.05 for a third place finished in the 4x800 relay.
- Joshua Hunter throws a 53-0.75 for a sixth place in the weight throw.

WOMEN
- In the 200-meter dash Niyah Carpenter took second in 26.26.
- Hampton placed two in the top three in the 400: Asha Copeland won it in 1:01.12) while Crystal Eley took third in 1:02.19.
- Kameryn Trussell took fourth in the 600 meters in 1:50.58.Â
- Zuri Rashad had a pair of first place finishes winning the 3000 meters in 10:54.42 and the 5000 in 18:50.85
- Crystal Eley won the 60-meter hurdles in 9.06 with Sydney Davis taking third in 9.19.Â
- In the high jump Hampton took two spots as Sydney Davis placed fourth with a 4-9.5 and Crystal Eley finishing in seventh with 4-7.5.
- Niyah Carpenter took third with a 16-4.5 and Sydney Davis placed fifth with a 15-9.75 in the Long Jump.
- Kameryn Trussell finished second in the Triple Jump with a bound of 35-5.75
- Hampton had a pair finish in the top four in the shot put as Kaitlin Scott finished third with a toss of 36-5 and Crystal Eley took fourth with a toss of 35-7.25.
MEN
- 60 meters: Trey Clark took seventh with a 7.2.
- In the mile, Jamont Hike-Charles finished tenth with a 4:49.17.
- Coby Price was fourth in the 3000 meters in 9:18.94 and second in the 5000 in 16:12.34.
- Hampton took two of top three in the 60 hurdles with Charles Graham winning in 8.32 and Isaiah Norris taking third in 8.51.
- In the High Jump, Jordan Walker won with a leap of 6-0.75, and Trey Clark took first place in Pole Vault with a 14-4.75.

 Next up for the teams will be the South Carolina Challenge on Feb. 1-2 and the Vince Brown Invitational at CNU on Feb. 3.
