GREENVILLE, N.C. – The Hampton Lady Pirates cross country team took 12^th place on Friday at the East Carolina Invitational.

Freshman Alexia Phifer was the top finisher for Hampton coming in 70^th in 23:29.69 over the 6k course.  Senior Asia Johnson was 98^th in 25:06.54, sophomore Zuri Rashad was 106^th in 25:41.86, junior DeVonya Brown was 113^th in 26:37.42, sophomore Shakeria Johnson was 115^th in 27:03.12 and sophomore Gabrielle Chenault was 126^th in 29:45.86. 

Hampton will close its season on Nov. 2 in the Big South Conference meet hosted by Campbell University.
