AUSTIN, Tex. -- The Hampton University men's track and field team participated this weekend in the Texas Relays hosted by the University of Texas in Austin and came away with a pair of top 10 finishes and four top 15 showings.

Junior Jaelen Williams took fifth in the 400 hurdles running a season best 51.19.  The sprint medley relay team of Moffat Wanjiru, Jerrick Powell, Williams and Tayvon Burris took eighth in 3:25.46.

Dylan Beard finished 11^th in the 110 hurdles in 14.15 as he just missed qualifying for the finals by two spots.  The 4x400 relay team of Powell, Wanjiru, Derrick Price and Williams ran 3:14.68 to finish 15^th.

Hampton will next compete in the Colonial Relays next weekend in Williamsburg.
