RADFORD, VA -- The Hampton Lady Pirates softball team dropped two in a Big South Conference doubleheader on Thursday falling 1-0 and 3-2 to Radford University on the road.

Game one saw, The Highlanders scored the only run of the game in the bottom of the fifth. Jenae Lyles went 2 -for- 3 and Allison Babinsack pitch six innings and gave up six hits with two strikeouts.  
 
In game two, with one out in top of first, Brianna Anderson hits a triple down the right field line and would cross the plate after a sac bunt by Kial Watts to give the Lady Pirates a 1-0 advantage. Radford pushed one run in the bottom of the second to tie the game at 1-1. Hampton responds in the top of the fourth with a bomb over left center by Anderson to take a 2-1 lead. Radford would make it even in the bottom of the fourth and cross the plate one more time for the win in the bottom of the sixth.  Anderson went 2 -for- 3 with one Home run and scored twice. Allie Hotez took the tough luck loss throwing a complete game while allowing eight hits and three strikeouts.

If weather permits, game three of the series is schedule for 11am on Friday April 20, if weather permits.
