HAMPTON, Va. – Hampton dropped a hard fought, aggressive match against the Navy Midshipmen losing 2-0 on Monday evening at home.
The Midshipmen got off to an early start after a breakaway goal by Baseley McClaskey at the 6:38 mark to jump to a 1-0 lead. The next goal would come in the second half for Navy at the 64:34 mark scored by Jeana Freeman to go up 2-0.
Maya Andrews would finish the game with a total of four saves for the game. Hampton would be outshot 11- 5 for the game. This is the Pirates third straight loss for a record on 1-3 on the year.
The Lady Pirates will continue their home stand on Sept. 11 facing off against the University of Richmond at HU Soccer Complex at 4 pm.
