NORFOLK, Va. - As the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) continues to celebrate its 50th anniversary during the 2020-21 academic year, the conference office announced on Monday the Women's Cross Country All-Time Team, presented by The Home Depot, comprised of 50 outstanding student-athletes throughout the conference's history.Â
Over 600 votes were cast for the Women's Cross Country All-Time Team, with fans, media representatives, institution sports information contacts and others taking part.Â
To be considered on the ballot, a candidate's time in the MEAC Cross Country Championship must rank among the Top 100 times of all time or she must have been named Outstanding Performer of the MEAC Cross Country Championship.
Out of the 50 student athletes five Lady Pirates were selected as MEAC All-Time Team honorees.
- Ce'aira Brown: Holds the 25th-fastest time, 18:10.6 in 2015.
- Faith Keitany: Holds the 3rd-fastest time, 17:38.6 in 2017.
- Krystle Medlin: 2005 MEAC Championship Outstanding Performer; holds the 9th-(17:53.0 in 2008), 23rd- (18:09.0 in 2006) and 49th- (18:34.3 in 2005) fastest times.
- Janet Okeago: Holds the 12th-fastest time, 17:58.4 in 2017.
- Jahlisa Smith: 2009 MEAC Championship Outstanding Performer; holds the 51stfastest time, 18:34.8 in 2009.
