HAMPTON, Va. – Celebrating Senior Day with eight seniors, the Hampton volleyball team dropped a five-set thriller to Presbyterian 21-25, 25-18, 25-22, 10-25, 15-13 on Saturday afternoon.
Hampton jumped out to a 15-10 lead after an
Alyah Barkley kill in the opening set, but the Blue Hose rallied to tie the match at 21. Kills by

Clara Smith and two from
Gabby Calloway put Hampton up 25-21 for the opening set win.
Presbyterian took the next two before Hampton opened the fourth scoring the first eight points as a Calloway ace gave them an 8-0 lead en route to a 25-10 fourth set win. The final set saw 10 ties as an attack error evened the match at 13 for the final tie.
Smith had 15 kills and Barkley added 14 for Hampton, while Calloway had eight kills, 16 digs and four aces.
