HAMPTON, Va. -- Hampton University and third-year head coach Momoh Kanneh announce its 2021 Lady Pirates soccer schedule on Thursday with two exhibition games along with a 16-game schedule.

Hampton opens with a pair of exhibition games as they will face Old Dominion on the road on Aug. 12 and host University of Maryland Baltimore County two days later.   The regular season will start on August 23 with the soccer "Battle of the Real HU" when Hampton visits Howard.

South Carolina State will start the home schedule for Hampton this year with a date on Aug. 29 before the Lady Pirates visit perennial opponent VMI on September 2.   First-time opponent Robert Morris visits the Lady Pirates on September 12 before a road trip to Lincoln University (PA) on September 15.

Conference play opens at home when Hampton hosts Presbyterian on September 18 before heading to the Palmetto State to take on USC Upstate on September 22.  Two days later they'll close out the non-conference slate with a matchup at Delaware State on September 24, before a home matchup with UNC Asheville on September 25.

A road game at Campbell on September 29 will start a final month of the season where Hampton will be on the road for five of its final seven games.   A home date with Winthrop (Oct. 2) precedes a pair on the road at Gardner-Webb (Oct. 9) and Longwood (Oct. 13).  The final home game will be on October 16 when Charleston Southern comes to town, then Hampton finishes on the road at Radford (Oct. 20) and High Point (Oct. 23).

The Big South Conference Tournament begins with the quarterfinals from Oct. 29-31 before the semifinals on November 4 and finals on November 7.

Due to the South end zone renovation project at Armstrong Stadium, the women's soccer games this year will be held at Wanner Stadium in Williamsburg.
