WOMEN'S SOCCER FALLS 1-0 AT DELAWARE STATE

DOVER, Del. – The Hampton women's soccer team started a weekend slate dropping a tight 1-0 contest at Delaware State on Friday night.

Mary O'Connor scored with five seconds left in the first half for the hosts who made the goal stand up in defeating Hampton.   Delaware State outshot the Lady Pirates 8-5, but Hampton had an advantage in corner kicks (4-2).

Hampton returns to action on Saturday night hosting UNC Asheville at 7 pm at Wanner Stadium in Williamsburg.
