Maine (1-4, 1-1) sealed its first win of the year when Austin Ambush intercepted a Hampton pass in the end zone in the final minute of play to registered a 31-24 triumph over homestanding Hampton (3-2, 0-2) before 4,512 fans at Armstrong Stadium. 

Maine rushed for 226 yards and three touchdowns on the ground against Hampton's No. 1-ranked rush defense in the league which hadn't allowed a TD on the ground all season.  

The Blacks Bears Freddie Brock scored two touchdowns in the fourth quarter including the game-winning touchdown when he hauled in a 25-yard pass from quarterback Joe Fagnano midway through final quarter.

Jadakis Bonds caught seven passes for 141 yards and two touchdowns and Malcolm Mays passed for 230 yards and three touchdowns to lead the Pirates.
