Softball Walks Off St. Bonaventure For Opening Weekend Sweep

Hampton, VA- The Lady Pirates conclude the weekend going undefeated as they take down St. Bonaventure 1-0 in a defensive battle.
 
The Lady Pirates improved to 7-1 on the year after the win as St. Bonaventure fell to 1-3.

HOW IT HAPPENED
 
  • Kiaya Jeusi pitched all seven innings for Hampton in the tight defensive matchup.
  • The Lady Pirates defensive unit holds the Bonnies scoreless through all seven innings.
  • Hampton would get the first and only run of the game off of an RBI single from Emily Kepple to score Kennedi Bedell.
  • Neither team would score any runs for the remainder of the game leading to the Lady Pirates 6th straight win on the season.
 
The Lady Pirates will be back at home in a double header Friday, February 25th for the Battle At The Bay.
