Box Score Boiling Springs, NC. - The Lady Pirates finished the weekend with a 5-2 win at Brinkley Stadium over the Bulldogs 5-2 Saturday afternoon.
 
The Pirates improve to an overall 10-13 record, 1-2 in conference play.

How It Happened: 

• At the top of the 3rd inning, Hampton scored a pair of runs by Lauryn Brooks (Bowie, MD) and Kennedi Bedell (Columbus, GA) on a fielding error. (2-0)
• The Lady Pirates increased their lead, scoring two runs by Bedell and Brooks in the fifth inning. (4-0)
• At the bottom of the fifth inning, Gardner-Webb's Mitchell and Goodrum kept the Runnin' Bulldogs in the fight, scoring two runs. (4-2)
• Hampton secured the win at the top of the seventh inning, scoring a run by Joya Greer on a fielding error by Gardner-Webbs shortstop. (5-2)

The Pirates will return to action on Tuesday, March 15^th hosting George Washington at 2 PM.
