Game 1: Hampton 2 Presbyterian 3
How It Happened:
- The Pirates started the day off strong; Janae Lyles (Waldorf, MD) and Tiera Washington (Chesapeake, VA) recorded two runs at the top of the second inning on a throw to give the Pirates a 2-0 edge.
- Presbyterian scored a single run in the bottom of the second inning on a homer by Hewes. (2-1)
- At the bottom of the fourth inning, the Blue Hose tied the game with a run scored by Starnes. (2-2)
- Presbyterian was able to clinch the lead and ultimately the game in the fifth inning with a run scored by Goodrum. (2-3)
- Emily Workman (Kingston, TN) pitched four innings, allowing five hits and recording one strikeout. Kiaya Jeusi (Woodbridge, VA) pitched two innings, allowing four hits and one strikeout.Â
Game 2: Hampton 0 Presbyterian 9
How It Happened:
- Three wild pitches in a row allowed the Blue Hose to take the lead early, scoring two runs in the first inning. (0-2)
- Presbyterian proved to be a lot for the Pirates defense to handle, scoring seven runs in the second inning to wrap the game up.(0-9)
- Sophomore Jordyn Scott (Manassas, VA) and Workman shared the pitching duties for the Pirates. Scott pitched 1.1 innings, allowing eight hits, while Workman pitched 2.2 innings allowing five hits and recording three strikeouts.
- Hampton tried to recover but couldn't escape the outs.

The Pirates return to action on Sunday, March 20, 2022, for their final game at Presbyterian at noon.
