Hampton, VA- The Pirates gear up for action this weekend, hosting the Spartan-Pirate Clash from March 4^th to March 6^th  in collaboration with Norfolk State University.
 
Hampton is currently 8-6 on the season and looking to improve.
 
The Pirates are batting .261 as a team with a .341 slugging percentage and a .341 on-base percentage.
 
HU's pitching performance is a 3.75 ERA over 96 innings, striking out a combined 55 batters. 
 
"We are looking forward to stepping back on the field and winning the weekend," said head coach Monique White.
 
The Pirates are coming off a tough 1-5 weekend after the Battle of the Bay.
 
Hampton is set to open up tournament play at noon on Friday against the Dragons of Drexel University (1-4) for a double-header. 
 
Saturday, the Pirates swing back into action facing the University of Massachusetts (5-4) at noon and Drexel at 2:00 PM.
 
Hampton's last double-header to conclude the tournament will take place Sunday at noon against the Broncos of Rider University (1-3). Then, at 2:00 PM, the Pirates will end tournament play against the University of Massachusetts Lowell.
