Box Score 2 Buies Creek, NC— Lady Pirates Softball came up short in Saturday's conference doubleheader at Campbell.
Game 1 Score: Hampton 1 - Campbell 2
How It Happened:
- The Camels scored in the bottom of the first as Cortez doubled to right field to score Ware from third. (1-0)
- Hampton tied the game at the top of the fourth with a left-field homer by Senior Janae Lyles (Waldorf, MD). (1-1)
- Campbell added another run with a score by Rafferty in the bottom of the fourth. (1-2)
Game 2 Score: Hampton 0 - Campbell 5
- Campbell loaded the bases in the bottom of the third to put their first run on the board, scored by Parker. (1-0)
- Camel Henault followed suit and scored run two on a wild pitch. (2-0)
- Mcdilda flies out to the left-field, allowing Ware to slide home, extending Campbell's lead to 3-0.
- At the bottom of the fourth, the Camels added another run on the board following Hunt's double to right field. (4-0)
- Rafferty made her way around all three bases to score the fifth run for the camels on a throw at the bottom of the sixth, clinching the win for Campbell. (5-0)
The Pirates return to action to conclude the series Sunday, April 10, on the road at Campbell at 1 PM.
