BOWLING GREEN, Ohio (Dec. 19, 2023) … Bowling Green (8-3) won its sixth straight game with a come-from-behind 75-65 victory over Hampton (4-7) before 2,995 fans on Student Day at the Stroh Center. Hampton held a 10-point lead at intermission but the Falcons exploded with 54 second-half points to improve to 5-1 at home this season.
Kyrese Mullen scored 19 points to lead the Pirates, including 12 in the first half. 
Ja'Von Benson added 12 points with eight rebounds for the Pirates. Bowling Green was led by Trey Thomas, who led all scorers with 25 points, and Rashaun Agee, who tallied 21 points.
The Pirates built a 31-21 halftime lead over Bowling Green. Hampton's defensive pressure limited Bowling Green to just 21.4 percent shooting from the field in the first half and forced 11 Falcon turnovers. 
Kyrese Mullen scored 11 first half points to lead the Pirates. Leading 17-16 midway through the first half, the Pirates reeled off 11 straight points to build a 27-16 lead with 2:28 left on a lay-up by

Bowling Green outscored the Pirates, 54-34, in the second half. The Falcons took the lead for good on a pair of free throws by Marcus Hill to put Bowling Green ahead, 58-57. Bowling Green pulled away, outscoring Hampton, 17-7, in the game's final 5:47.
The Pirates travel to Ypsilanti, Mich. to take on Eastern Michigan on Thursday, Dec. 21.
