TOWSON, Md. (Oct. 20, 2024) … The Lady Pirates completed their two-game series against the Towson Tigers. Towson defeated Hampton by a score of 3-0. The sets ended 25-13, 25-17, and 25-14.

Hampton jumped out to an early advantage in the first set 6-3. Madison Clark produced an early kill for the Lady Pirates. Towson throughout the early moments of the match found a way to tie it up multiple times. Coach Ronaldo Pacheco's side was able to regain its early lead with the Tigers committing errors. Towson rattled off four consecutive points to take the advantage 11-8. After swinging the momentum in their favor, the Tigers took control of the stanza. 

The Lady Pirates trailed the Tigers early in the second frame. However, Hampton battled back to bring the set back to within two points. TU once again was able to go on a run to strengthen its lead. While three consecutive errors by Towson made it 23-16, the Tigers were able to win the second stanza.   

In the third set, the Lady Pirates tied the Tigers early on. Ada Bulgur was able to provide offense at the beginning of the frame for Hampton. Bulgur finished the match with seven kills and 10 digs. Towson started to create separation from the Lady Pirates by producing a three-point advantage. The Tigers took control of the set after taking the next five points. While Hampton went 4-1 run towards the end of the frame, Victoria Barrett scored the game-winning point for Towson. 

Up next, the Lady Pirates return to Holland Hall on Oct. 24 against the Campbell Camels. Thursday's match is set to begin at 6:00 p.m. and will be streamed on FloSports.
