HAMPTON, Va. (Nov. 14, 2024) … Two members of the Hampton University women's cross country team will be participating in the NCAA Southeast Regional on Friday morning in Rock Hill, S.C. Winthrop University will host the event at Winthrop Farm with the women's 6k race starting at 10:30 a.m.

Peninah Mutisya, a freshman from Kitui, Kenya, hit the season running, finishing in the top four in each of the five meets to date. She has lowered her 6k time in each race, with a pair of first-place finishes at Christopher Newport and East Carolina. In the CAA Championships on November 1, she took second with a season-best time of 20:23.60.

Jordan Mozie, a senior from Upper Marlboro, Md., has had a pair of top 25 finishes coming in 19
th at CNU and 25
th at Navy. She also has seen her time decrease in each meet as she ran a season best 22:40.60 at the CAA Championships where she finished 42
nd.
