HAMPTON, Va. (Feb. 21, 2024) – The men's and women's track & field teams are getting ready to compete at the CAA Indoor Track & Field Championships. The meet will take place on Thursday and Friday, Feb. 22-23, at The Nike Track and Field Center at The Armory in New York City, N.Y.

The 13 teams that will perform consist of Campbell, Charleston, Delaware, Elon, Hampton, Hofstra, Monmouth, North Carolina A&T, Northeastern, Stony Brook, Towson, UNCW, and William & Mary.

The heptathlon starts on Thursday at 9:00 AM and is followed by the Pentathlon at 9:10 PM. The first field event kicks off with the men's pole vault at 11:30 AM. The men's mile is the first running event (1:15 PM).

2023 CAA Indoor Track & Field Championships

At last year's meet, the women's team placed second with 121.33 points and the men earned fifth with 83.

Amira Aduma won the 200m event with a time of 23.90. On the men's side, Otis Slayton took first in the long jump at 7.11m and Dugion Blackman grabbed the gold in the 800m (1:48.56).
