In the first meeting between the two teams, Towson scored the game's first 12 points and never looked back in an 83-53 win. This time around, Reaves staked Hampton to a 2-0 lead but the rest of the first quarter was a replay of the first meeting. A 14-2 run put the Tigers ahead 19-7 with 3:21 left. Towson dominated both inside and outside play. Towson clicked on four first period three-pointers and outrebounded the Lady Pirates 16-5. Hampton shot 29 percent from the field.

The second quarter started with another Towson trey to go ahead, 32-11. Hampton made just one field goal in the first five minutes of the second quarter while shooting 14 percent from the field. The Lady Pirates went nearly six minutes without a basket before Foreman scored in the final seconds to make the score 50-24 at halftime.

Hampton returns to action on Sunday, Feb. 25 when the Lady Pirates play at William & Mary at Kaplan Arena in a 1:00 p.m. tip-off.
