Pirates Defeat Mountaineers 5-2 in Dual

Box Score EMMITSBURG, Md. (Feb. 9, 2024) – The Pirates defeated the Mount St. Mary Mountaineers by a score of 5-2 in Friday afternoon's match.

Hampton won five singles matches in this dual, the most since April 19 against Chowan last season (7-0).

Daniel Flynn and Emiliano Jorquera kicked off the dual with a 6-4 win in doubles play against Victor Mignot and Elliot Stevens. Flynn is now 3-0 in doubles, while Jorquera earned his first win. Donte Armbrister and Aryan Arora fell 6-4. Hampton had to forfeit the last match.

Armbrister (3-1) and Jorquera (3-1) both won their third singles matches of the season. Flynn won his first singles match of the season by a score of 6-4, 6-0. Tokas did the same, grabbing a 6-2, 1-6, 10-4 win to bring his record to 1-3. Arora (2-2) won his match in two tight sets, 7-5 and 7-5.
