HAMPTON, Va. (Sept. 17, 2024) … Hampton's 2024-25 women's basketball schedule has been set, head coach Tamisha Augustin announced. The schedule features 14 games at the Hampton Convocation Center, games against SEC foes Georgia and Vanderbilt as well as 12 match-ups against teams that won 20 or more games last season.

The Lady Pirates open the 2024-25 campaign hosting Bowie State on Nov. 4. The Lady Pirates will also face longtime HBCU opponents Norfolk State, Delaware State, and fellow Coastal Athletic Association (CAA) member North Carolina A&T during the season.

In non-conference play, Norfolk State (27-6 in 2023-24) advanced to the NCAA Tournament. Vanderbilt (23-10) earned an invitation to the NCAA Tournament and advanced to the second round. Eastern Kentucky (22-12) earned a bid to the WBIT and Florida International (21-12) played in the post-season WNIT, making it to the second round.

In conference action, Hampton faces North Carolina A&T (22-12, WNIT), Charleston (22-10, WNIT), and Towson (20-11) both at home and away during the course of the season. In addition, the Lady Pirates take on Stony Brook (28-5, WBIT), Monmouth (22-10, WNIT). Drexel finished 19-15 and earned a bid to the NCAA Tournament after winning the CAA Tournament.

The Coastal Athletic Association (CAA) schedule includes an 18-game league schedule including at least one game against each conference opponent. Conference games will be played on Fridays and Sundays. All regular season games can be seen on FloSports.com. The CAA Championship game will be broadcast nationally on the CBS Sports Network for the third consecutive year.

The conference portion of the schedule begins on Friday, Jan. 3 when Hampton plays at William & Mary. The CAA home opener is on Sunday, Jan. 5 against North Carolina A&T.

Coach Tamisha Augustin takes over the coaching reins of the Lady Pirates. A Hampton native, Augustin comes to Hampton after serving as associate head coach at Florida.
