The Pirates forced 30 turnovers turning them into 26 points.
Jasha Clinton came up big with 19 points including Hampton's final nine points of the game.
Aisha Dabo celebrated her birthday with 14 points and three treys.

Le'Asia Foreman each added seven in the winning effort.
Hampton scored the game's first 10 points while holding Towson scoreless in the first 7:25. Towson's Kayla Morris hit a three-pointer to get the Tigers on the board before the Pirates outscored Towson 5-2 to end the quarter with a 15-5 advantage. Clinton opened the scoring with a jumper before Kennedy's steal and layup made it 4-0.
Arina Nikishina's basket, a layup by Thomas and two Foreman free throws made it 10-0.
Towson opened the second quarter by scoring 15 straight points to take a 20-15 lead. After shooting 20 percent from the field in the first quarter, Towson shot an even 50 percent in the second making a three three-pointers and converting all five free throw attempts. Clinton got Hampton untracked by scoring six points down the stretch while Foreman added a bucket and free throw as the Pirates closed to 27-22 at intermission.
Clinton led all scorers at halftime with eight points as seven Pirate players reached the scoring column. After shooting 41.7 percent from the field in the opening quarter, Hampton made 4-of-16 shots in the second period. Towson held a 23-12 rebounding margin at the half.
The two teams played on even terms throughout the third quarter. The Pirates pressure defense forced six Tiger turnovers and Hampton cut the deficit to 34-31 with 4:33 to go in the period. But the Pirates were held scoreless for the next 3:31 and the Tigers then reeled off five straight points to go ahead 39-31 with 2:34 left. Towson outscored the Pirates 16-14 in the third period to lead 43-36 after three quarters.
Dabo started the final quarter with a trey to cut the gap to 45-39. Following a Clinton layup that made it 45-41, Towson hit a layup by Anasia Staton and Dabo answered with a layup to make it 47-43 with 8:03 left.
Towson scored a couple of buckets then Hampton went on a 9-0 run capped by a Kennedy three-pointer with 3:55 to give Hampton its first lead since the second quarter, 52-51. Towson scored the game's next four points to retake the lead before Clinton took over. Scoring from the inside, outside, and from the free throw line, Clinton kept the Tigers at bay in the closing minutes.
Hampton was without four players for the game.

Hampton's four-game homestand concludes on Sunday when the Pirates host UNCW at the Hampton Convocation Center at 2:00 p.m.
