Trenton Boykin turns his attention to the tough remaining Coastal Athletic Association (CAA) slate.
Hampton has already played conference foes North Carolina A&T and Elon and will face the top teams in the conference. The gauntlet begins with Campbell.
In the final half of the season, Hampton tackles the teams picked to finish 1-2-3 in the preseason coaches poll: Rhode Island (Nov. 22), Monmouth (Oct. 25) and Villanova (Oct. 18). All three teams received first place votes by the coaches.
Four of the six second-half games will be played at home beginning with Campbell. The Camels are 1-5 coming off a tough game at North Carolina State and also played FBS entry East Carolina and FCS No. 9-ranked Rhode Island.
Campbell sports a 1-1 record in CAA play having beaten Bryant 50-48 in double overtime.
The Pirates are looking for their first league win after falling at North Carolina A&T in double overtime and at Elon.
Hampton finished its non-league slate with a 41-34 win over Norfolk State on Oct. 4 in the 60th meeting between the teams.
The Game
Hampton (2-4, 0-2) looks to record its first CAA win of the season when the Pirates host Campbell (1-5, 1-1) on Oct. 11.

Braden Davis completed 16-of-28 passes for 202 yards and a score. The Syracuse transfer also rushed for 64 yards and a TD.
True freshman defensive back Andre Jackson Jr. anchored the defense with 12 tackles and a tackle for loss earning CAA Rookie of the Week honors.

Brett Starling has been a big surprise --- and not just because he is 6-6, 230. He converted his first nine field goal attempts before missing a 45-yarder against Norfolk State. Startling has made all 16 PATs and is third in the CAA averaging 42.5 yards per punt.
The Pirates continue their tradition of a strong running attack. Coach
Trenton Boykin's team leads the conference in rushing with 202.5 yards per game.
Ja'Quan Snipes missed the last two games but
Gracen Goldsmith filled in, rushing for 75 yards and a score in the win over Norfolk State a week ago.
Campbell is coming off a tough 56-10 loss at the hands of North Carolina State. The Camels rank last in the CAA in scoring defense (43.5 ppg) and 13th in total defense yielding 477.4 ppg at midseason.
On offense, the Camels are led by quarterback Kamden Sixkiller, who ranks sixth in the CAA with 197.5 ypg through the air.
Linebackers Kalen Villanueva (6.5 tpg) and Logan Livermore (5.2 tpg) are stalwarts on the defensive side of the ball for the Camels.
