HAMPTON, Va. (Oct. 15, 2025) … The Hampton University women's soccer team starts a three-match homestand on Thursday afternoon hosting Monmouth at 12 p.m. in Norfolk at Powhatan Field.
Hampton (5-8-1, 0-5-0) enters the final homestand of the season after a 4-1 loss at UNCW on October 4.
Nylah Jennings scored the lone goal for the Pirates off a feed by
Alvine Dah-Zossu with a little over three minutes left in the contest.
The October 12 contest against Elon was postponed due to the noreaster that hit the Hampton Roads area. That will be made up on October 23 at noon at Powhatan Field.
Monmouth (9-4-1, 4-2) defeated Towson on the road Sunday 3-0 as the Hawks scored a pair of first-half goals as Emily De Almeida and Evangeline Perdomo tallied in the opening 45 minutes. Loren Gehret closed the scoring in the 86th minute off a free kick.

Jennings leads the team in goals scored (5), points (12) and shares the lead in assists (2). Four Pirates are next in points with six each as
Caitlyn Peace and
Madisyn Strange have scored three goals apiece, and the duo of

Avery John has a .724 save percentage and a 1.70 goals against average in 13 starts. Freshman
Annika Kleffmann started the first match of her career at UNCW and has a save percentage of .706 having played in five matches this season.
ABOUT MONMOUTH
The Hawks have won now four matches in a row after starting CAA play 0-2. Their win over Towson and Stony Brook's 1-0 loss to Northeastern moved them into a tie for first in the CAA Northern Division.
Summer Reimert leads the team in goals scored (8), shots (47), shots on goal (27) and points scored (18). Her eight goals put her second in the league and Isa Murdock and Gabby Hoschek lead Elon in goals scored with four each, while Murdock leads in points (12) and shares the assist lead with Ashlee Brehlo with four.
Tallulah Miller has started all 14 matches with a .730 save percentage and a 1.24 goals against average.

This is a matchup of two teams that are tied for fifth in goals scored in the CAA this season with 23 each.

With her fifth goal of the year on October 4 against UNCW,
Nylah Jennings has put herself tied for fourth on the single season goals scored list in Hampton history. Her five goals are tied for third most in a single season with Kennedy Peace who did it in 2017.
