BUIES, N.C. (Oct. 18, 2025) … The Hampton volleyball team dropped match two of two with Campbell Saturday 3-0 (25-21, 25-16, 25-21). 

In the first set, the Pirates got on the board when Racquel Frazier buried home a kill. Lillian Campbell added one of her own two points later as the two teams exchanged points early. After falling down 18-13, it was the Pirates going on a run, rattling off six of the next seven points to bring the game tied at 19. The Camels then closed the first set out on a 4-0 run to take set one 25-21.

Following three Camels errors in the second set, Hampton took an early 3-0 lead. Campbell quickly answered with a 5-0 run of their own to take a 9-6 lead before the two sides went blow-for-blow for the next few points. After a Campbell and Katerina Pappa kill, the Pirates trailed 17-13 midway through. Campbell yet again used a 4-0 run to close out the second set, taking a commanding 2-0 lead. 

The Pirates continued to battle in the third set, holding an early 8-6 lead. Following a 5-0 run, it was Hampton going on a run of their own when Frazier buried home back-to-back kills to bring the set within three at 18-15. The Pirates then made it interesting when Kylah McNeal and Frazier once more added two kills bringing the third set to two at 23-21, but it was the Camels recording back-to-back points to win set three and the match. 

Hampton was led by the trio of Pappa, Frazier and Campbell's eight kills in the match while Morgan Warren led the Pirates with 25 assists. Jaya Rimm recorded a team best eight digs, while Campbell  added four blocks on the evening.
