GREENSBORO, N.C. (Oct. 3, 2025) … The Hampton University volleyball team fell in its first game of the weekend against North Carolina A&T Friday night. The Aggies used multiple late runs to help take down the Pirates in three sets. 

In the first set, North Carolina A&T jumped out to an early 16-3 lead and used that momentum to take down Hampton in the opener. The Pirates responded early in the second set courtesy of two kills from freshman Racquel Frazier to help even the score at three. The Aggies then used another run to help take a commanding lead. Hampton fought back with multiple kills from Frazier, but ultimately it was North Carolina A&T ending the set on a 8-3 run to take a commanding two set lead. 

After falling behind in the third, Hampton once more fought back. Katerina Pappa and Frazier registered back-to-back kills to help Hampton bring the set within two, but eventually the Aggies took down the Pirates in three straight. Hampton was led by Pappa's seven kills, while Frazier added six. Ida Wiszomirska led Hampton with 17 assists on the night, and Dila Derendeli recorded a team high ten digs.
