HAMPTON, Va. (Feb. 8, 2025) …  The Hampton University women's basketball team will hit the home floor of the Convocation Center on Sunday afternoon to face William & Mary in a Coastal Athletic Association contest at 2 p.m.
It will be Play For Kay Breast Cancer Awareness day as fans are encouraged to wear pink to show support for those fighting and have fought breast cancer.
SERIES HISTORY VS. W&M
William & Mary leads the all-time series 17-11. Inside the Convocation Center, Hampton holds an 8-4 lead in the series. The Tribe has won the last three inside the Convocation Center as Hampton scored a 57-40 win over the Tribe on December 8, 2021 for the last win at home.
LAST TIME OUT VS. W&M
Jasha Clinton had 17 points and three steals, while
CeCe Thomas added 12 points and four rebounds as Hampton fell at William & Mary 71-52 on January 3. Jana Sallman had 20 points and 17 rebounds to lead the Tribe as Kayla Rolph added 13 points and six boards.
ABOUT HAMPTON
The Pirates are back at home after a 70-54 loss Friday night at Towson. Clinton topped the team in scoring with 13 points, while
Jenae Dublin had nine points and seven boards. Hampton forced Towson into 24 turnovers which turned into 23 points, but could not pull closer than 12 points in the second half.
Clinton leads the team in scoring at 14.3 points per game, while
Aisha Dabo averages 7.8 points and 4.3 rebounds per game. Thomas is next at 7.5 points per game followed by Dublin at 7.4 points and a team high 5.1 rebounds per game. As a team, Hampton is scoring 57.2 points per game and allowing 68.4.
ABOUT THE TRIBE
William & Mary is returning to action after falling 92-71 to Campbell on February 2 at home. Bella Nascimento scored 23 points to lead the Tribe and Kayla Rolph added 16 as Campbell shot a blistering 56% from the floor to take the win and snap a five-game William & Mary winning streak.
Nascimento leads the Tribe in scoring (15.8 ppg), three-pointers made (37) and steals (33). Cassidy Geddes is just off double figure scoring at 9.5 points per game. As a team, the Tribe averages 61.5 points per game and allows 66.2.

Hampton heads north for a pair of games next week as they'll visit Stony Brook on Friday, February 14 for a noon tip and then face Monmouth on Sunday, February 16 for a 2 pm start.
