HAMPTON, Va. (March 29, 2025) … The Hampton University men's lacrosse team fell in a Coastal Athletic Association matchup on Saturday to the visiting Monmouth Hawks 24-4 at Armstrong Stadium.
Monmouth (4-6, 1-2) scored the first five goals of the match before

Craig Williams in front of the cage who then put the Pirates on the board with his first goal of the season.
Hampton (0-11, 0-3) found the back of the net again in the third period as
Jonathan Angel tallied an unassisted goal at the 13:25 mark to cut the deficit to 13-2. The Pirates again scored in the third with 1:58 left as
Reed Shaw found enough separation to blister the net to bring Hampton to 19-3.
Childers rounded out the scoring for Hampton with an unassisted goal at the 5:56 mark to trail 22-4.
Braeden Lessane topped the Pirates with five ground balls and winning six faceoffs.
The Pirates are on the road now for the next two weeks as they'll visit Drexel on April 5 and then Towson on April 12. Hampton will celebrate Senior Day on April 19 when they entertain Hofstra at 11 a.m.
