GRAMBLING, La. (Aug. 24, 2025) … Alana Aiken recorded a hat trick, scoring twice in a seven-minute span of the second half as Grambling State defeated Hampton 3-0 on Sunday evening in a non-conference soccer match.

Aiken got Grambling State (2-1-1) on the board at 22:35 with a penalty kick for a 1-0 lead. She tallied her second one at 65:05 taking a feed from Liana Bryant. The final tally came at 72:47 when she scored off a pass from Whitney Walker.

Grambling State held a slim 12-10 advantage in shots, while each team had four corner kick opportunities.

Hampton (0-2) returns to action on Tuesday at noon ET in Grambling against Arkansas-Pine Bluff.

The Pirates will return home to face Bluefield State on Saturday, August 30 at Powhatan Field.
