Spent all four years on the varsity track team… was the anchor leg on Bethel’s 4x400-meter relay indoor state championship team as a freshman… ran a season-best 42.70 in the 300-meter dash as a freshman… helped Bethel win the indoor and outdoor 4x400-meter relay state titles as a sophomore… ran a 42.66 in the 300-meter dash… also ran a 48.38 (300-meter hurdles), 58.99 (400-meter dash), and 1:18.42 (500-meter dash)… team captain as a junior, helping Bethel again sweep the 4x400-meter relay state titles… ran a 2:22.77 in the 800-meter run as a junior… bested that time by nearly nine seconds, at 2:13.58, as a senior… won t he 500-meter dash state title, running a 1:15.76… also won the 800-meter run regional title, as well as the 400-meter dash district title… was an honor roll student all four years… graduated in the top 25 of her class… graduated with highest honors.

Born Jan. 9, 1994… daughter of Charlene and William Moore… has one brother, Deon (21), and one sister, Erika (26)… 11 family members are graduates of Hampton University… uncle Joseph T. Hicks was a football player and track star… uncle Harvey Riley played football, baseball, and wrestling at Hampton… nicknamed Maya Fantastic or Ms. Fantastic… was featured in the Daily Press and by MileStat… plans to major in communicative sciences and disorders… wants to become a speech-language therapist who works with young children.
