2012 OUTDOOR TRACK & FIELD SEASON
Third Team All-MEAC in the 5,000-meter run… finished 24th in the 3,000-meter run at the Wake Forest Open, running a 10:50.31… finished second in the 800-meter run (2:17.96) and seventh in the 1,500-meter run (4:48.65) at the Tribe Invitational… ran a season-best 18:33.10 in the 5,000-meter run at the Raleigh Relays, finishing third in her section… ran a 2:20.79 in the 800-meter run at the Colonial Relays, finishing 45th… finished second in both the 1,500-meter run (4:53.13) and 3,000-meter steeplechase (12:08.80) at the Norfolk State Relays… ran a season-best 4:47.67 in the 1,500-meter run at the Morgan State Legacy Meet, finishing third… also finished fifth in the 5,000-meter run with an 18:48.17… finished third in the 5,000-meter run at the MEAC Championships, running an 18:47.60… also finished seventh in the 1,500-meter run (4:49.09) and 12th in the 3,000-meter steeplechase (12:40.64).

Finished 14th in the unseeded mile run at the New York City Gotham Cup with a 5:26.42… came in 15th in the 800-meter run at Saturday at the Armory with a 2:25.60… finished sixth in the mile run (a season-best 5:16.82) and ninth in the 3,000-meter run (a season-best 10:51.01) at the Terrapin Invitational… ran a season-best 18:47.77 in the 5,000-meter run college at the Penn State National Invitational to finish 30th… finished fourth in the 5,000-meter run (19:05.53), fifth in the 3,000-meter run (10:51.79), and sixth in the mile run (a season-best 5:18.12) at the MEAC Championships.
2011 CROSS COUNTRY SEASON
All-MEAC… ran a 20:24.91 in the UMES Lid-Lifter to finish 37th… finished 21st in the William & Mary Invitational with a 19:43.00… ran a 20:27.29 in the Towson Invitational, coming in 17th… ran a season-best 19:20.50 to finish fifth in the Great American HBCU Invitational… led the Lady Pirates at the William & Mary Open with a 23:51.00 on the 6K course, finishing 16th… finished 11th in the MEAC Championships with a 19:42.67... ran a 20:04.00 in the ECAC Championships to finish 107th.

Ran a season-best 19:22.45 to finish 17th in the 5,000-meter run at the Wake Forest Open… finished eighth in the 5,000-meter run at the Morgan State Legacy Meet with a 19:35.34… came in eighth in the 5,000-meter run at the MEAC Championships, running a 19:39.76.

Second Team All-MEAC in the distance medley relay… Third Team All-MEAC in the 5,000-meter run… ran a 5:23.10 in the mile run to finish fourth at the CNU Holiday Open… won the 3,000-meter run at the UMES Coach O Invitational with a 10:47.22… ran a 5:24.24 in the mile run to finish second at the Penn State Relays, while also finishing second in the 3,000-meter run with a 10:58.82… ran a 3:04.41 to finish 11th in the 1,000-meter run at the New York City Gotham Cup… ran a 10:57.22 in the 3,000-meter run at the Terrapin Invitational to finish seventh, while coming in eighth in the mile run with a 5:23.31… ran a 10:46.45 in the 3,000-meter run to finish 12th at the Penn State Nationals… finished fifth in the 5,000-meter run at the Vince Brown Invitational with a 19:11.47… helped the distance medley relay team finish second at the MEAC Championships with a 12:25.61… also finished third in the 5,000-meter run (18:49.00), sixth in the 3,000-meter run (11:04.72) and eighth in the mile run (5:20.33).

Named All-MEAC… finished sixth in the UMES Lid-Lifter Invite with a 20:32.69… ran a 19:19.99 in the UMES Cappy Anderson Invitational to finish eighth… finished a team-best 13th in the Colonial Inter-Regional, completing the 4K course in 15:18.00… paced the Lady Pirates with a 19:16.30 at the HBCU Cross Country Challenge, finishing third… ran a 25:23.00 over the 6K course at the William & Mary Tribe Open, finishing 29th… came in ninth at the MEAC Championships, running a season-best 18:54.70 on a 5K course.
WHITNEY M. YOUNG HIGH SCHOOL
Ran cross country and track & field all four years… was fourth in the city and the region as a freshman, setting a city record and qualifying for states in the 4x800-meter relay… named All-State as a sophomore after winning a city championship and qualifying for regionals and states… was second in the city and 50th in the state as a junior, while earning All-State honors in both the 4x400- and 4x800-meter relays… was third in the city, qualifying for states as a senior and becoming All-State in the 4x800-meter relay… was team captain as a sophomore, junior and senior.

Born Aug. 3, 1992… daughter of Velencia and Devin Thompson… has three siblings: Monique (30), Jordan (21) and Kennedy (12)… nicknamed Dev… was featured in The Beverly Review… majoring in psychology… wants to become a child psychologist and own her own track club.
