Zach Quezada

Zach Quezada is entering his third season as assistant coach/defensive coordinator for the Pirates after joining the program in their inaugural year of competition in 2016.

Prior to arriving in Hampton, Quezada held the position of Head Coach at Landstown High School (Va.). During his tenure, his players were decorated with All-American and All-Conference accolades. Quezada coached Landstown to a 7-4 record and a regional playoff berth in the team’s first season. While at Landstown, Quezada also held the role of Director of Boy’s Programs for V3 Lacrosse Club, a Hampton Roads based travel program.

A 2015 graduate of Auburn University, Quezada served on the midfield and man-down unit during his first three years for the Tigers, before chronic knee injuries forced him to the sideline. Mike Muetzel, Auburn’s Head Coach at the time, brought Quezada on as an assistant for the remainder of his time with the program. Quezada graduated with a BS in Physical Activity and Health.

A native of Virginia Beach, Va., Quezada attended Bishop Sullivan Catholic High School. Captaining the team twice and leading the team in assists his senior year.

Quezada would like to thank his previous Head Coaches Mike Muetzel, Mike Burke, and Brian McCaskill for their impact on his life, on and off the field.
