I’Liyah Green joined the Hampton women’s basketball staff as the Director of Basketball Operations in April 2024 after serving in similar positions at two Division I universities. She served as the Director of Basketball Operations at Abilene Christian for one season under Coach Julie Goodenough before following Abilene Christan associate head coach Erika Lambert to North Florida the following year.
 
A native of Louisville, Ky., Green enjoyed a successful playing career at Cincinnati and Eastern Kentucky. She played her scholastic basketball at Louisville’s Male High where she was the team’s leading scorer, rebounder, and shot blocker. She was named All-District 26 and second-team All-Region as a junior. Greene, a three-star recruit out of high school, attended Cincinnati where she was redshirted as a freshman due to injury.
 
After spending three seasons at Cincinnati where current Hampton head coach Tamisha Augustin served as an assistant coach, she transferred to Eastern Kentucky for her final three seasons. She was named to the Ohio Valley Conference’s All-Newcomer team and served as the team’s captain. She played 59 games at Eastern Kentucky while averaging 6.8 points and 6.6 rebounds per game.
 
She earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology and master’s degree in sports administration from Eastern Kentucky. Her father, Ibn, played football at Louisville before embarking on an NFL career with the Indianapolis Colts.
