Hampton University sophomore rightside Vendula Strakova was named HU Athlete of the Week following her performance this past weekend on the volleyball court.

Strakova (Brno, Czech Republic) averaged 14.0 kills and 3.5 service aces in two matches this past weekend on the road for the volleyball team. In seven total sets at Maryland Eastern Shore and Delaware State, Strakova hit .308 with 28 total kills and just eight errors in 65 total attacks.

After recording 17 kills on Friday at UMES, she added 11 digs at Delaware State to go along with a team- and career-high five service aces.
