Hampton University senior forward Melanie Warner was named HU Athlete of the Week following her outstanding performances on the basketball court.

Melanie Warner (Tallahassee, Fla.) was named MEAC Player of the Week after shooting a combined 58 percent in games against Chicago State and South Carolina State last week, averaging 15.5 points and 6.5 rebounds per contest.

She scored 19 points on 7-for-10 shooting at Chicago State on Nov. 28, hitting all three of her 3-pointers, before adding 12 points and six rebounds in Saturday’s home win over the Lady Bulldogs.
