Hampton University senior Ce'aira Brown was named HU Athlete of the Week for her performance this past weekend at the 2016 MEAC Outdoor Track & Field Championships.

Brown was named the meet's Most Outstanding Runner, accounting for 35 points. She won MEAC titles in the 800-meter run (2:07.80) and 1,500-meter run (4:32.08), while running on the 4x400-meter relay team that came in second.

She was also second in the 10,000-meter run (37:14.19) and fourth in the 5,000-meter run (18:02.73).
