Hampton University freshman quarterback Brian Swain was named HU Athlete of the Week following his performance on the gridiron this past weekend.

Swain (Laredo, Texas) led the Pirates in rushing in Saturday’s 20-10 loss at Howard. He carried the ball 14 times for 105 yards and a 33-yard touchdown, averaging 7.5 yards per carry against the Bison. Swain also completed 13 of his 23 passes for 91 yards.

Swain did not throw an interception and he was not sacked.
