Hampton University sophomore center Emmanuel Okoroba was named HU Athlete of the Week for his performance on the hardwood this past week.

Okoroba (Garland, Texas) hit the game-winning basket at the buzzer to beat Morgan State 64-62 on Saturday – in addition to his 18 points on 8-for-11 shooting in that contest. Eleven of those 18 points on Saturday came in the second half.

He also had nine points and nine rebounds in Wednesday’s win over South Carolina State.
