Hampton University junior outside hitter Sonja Maksimovic was named HU Athlete of the Week following her performance this past weekend on the volleyball court.

Maksimovic (Belgrade, Serbia) had her best two-match stretch over the weekend, totaling 32 kills in matches at Coppin State and Morgan State. She had 16 kills in each match, and she hit a season-best .469 on Friday at Coppin State, committing just one error in 32 attacks.

For the weekend, Maksimovic hit .422.
