Hampton University junior rightside Vendula Strakova was named HU Athlete of the Week following her performance on the volleyball court this past weekend.

Strakova (Brno, Czech Republic) led the Lady Pirates to back-to-back straight-set wins to close the regular season, totaling 36 kills, 14 digs, and four aces in six total sets played at Delaware State and Maryland Eastern Shore.

She hit .607 (19 kills, two errors in 28 attacks) on Friday at Delaware State.
