Hampton University junior guard Kenia Cole was named HU Athlete of the Week on Monday, following her performance this past weekend on the basketball court.

Cole (Silver Spring, Md.) scored a season-high 19 points for the Lady Pirates in Sunday’s 71-50 win over Brown in the first day of the Georgia Tech Holiday Tournament, hitting a career-high five 3-pointers and going 7-for-10 from the floor – setting a new career best in field goals made.

She also grabbed five rebounds and dished out two assists in 36 minutes.
