Hampton University senior Teiara Denmark was named HU Athlete of the Week following her performance this past weekend in track & field.

Denmark (Virginia Beach, Va.) won the long jump title at the Penn State National on Friday and Saturday in State College, Pa., recording a mark of 6.11 meters (20 feet, 0.5 inches) – falling just .01 meters short of her season-best.

She also came in fourth in the triple jump, reaching ECAC qualification with a season-best mark of 12.51 meters (41 feet, 0.5 inches).
