Hampton University senior rightside Vendula Strakova was named HU Athlete of the Week for her performance on the volleyball court this past weekend.

Strakova (Brno, Czech Republic) totaled 36 kills and 34 digs in two matches this past weekend, a sweep over Delaware State and a four-set win over Maryland Eastern Shore. She recorded double-doubles in both matches, totaling 17 for the season.
 
In totaling 15 kills on Friday against Delaware State, Strakova hit .500. She also had four blocks in that match, and she added 21 kills on Sunday against UMES.
