Hampton University quarterback David Watford was named HU Athlete of the Week for his performance on the football field this past weekend.

Watford completed 17 of 33 passes for 239 yards and three touchdowns in the Pirates' 31-28 loss to Richmond this past Saturday. He also had six rushes for 31 yards.

Watford, who has eight touchdown passes this season, averaged 14.1 yards per completion.
