Hampton University sophomore Darrion Pellum was named HU Athlete of the Week for his performance on the hardwood.

Pellum (Hampton, Va.) scored 18 points on 7-for-15 shooting on Feb. 15 against North Carolina A&T, before adding 16 points on Saturday at Bethune-Cookman in the first of two straight wins for the Pirates. Pellum shot 7-for-10 against the Wildcats and has been nominated for the Heritage Sports Radio Network's Division I Men's Player of the Week award.

Pellum also had nine points on 4-for-9 shooting in Monday's win at Florida A&M.
