Hampton University freshman Elisabeth Kuester was named HU Athlete of the Week for her performance out on the water this past weekend.

Kuester sailed in the B Division in helping the Lady Pirates win the ODU Spring Open this past weekend for their fourth regatta win of the season. She sailed with Luca Taglialegne, scoring 32 points and winning four races -- including three of the last four.

She also sailed to a pair of second-place finishes, as Hampton won the regatta with 69 points.
