Hampton University senior running back Steven Robinson was named HU Athlete of the Week following his outstanding performance this past weekend on the football field.

Robinson (Buford, Ga.) rushed seven times for 84 yards -- an average of 12 yards per carry -- and two touchdowns in Saturday's 23-18 Homecoming loss to Bethune-Cookman. Robinson scored from nine yards out in the second quarter, before bursting down the left sideline for a 51-yard touchdown in the third quarter.

Robinson is second on the team in rushing, averaging 4.8 yards per carry this season. He has 354 yards and four touchdowns on the year.
