Hampton University senior Racquel Vassell was named HU Athlete of the Week after her outstanding performance on the track.

Vassell (Irvington, N.J.) won two event titles on Friday at the Maryland Eastern Shore Coach O Invitational, taking the 60-meter dash with a 7.63 and running an 8.51 to win the 60-meter hurdles.

Vassell, who was named MEAC Athlete of the Week on Dec. 9, has three event titles on the season.
