Hampton University junior guard Darrion Pellum was named HU Athlete of the Week after his outstanding performance on the basketball court.

Pellum (Hampton, Va.) poured in 15 points on 6-for-15 shooting in Saturday's 67-59 win at Coppin State, before scoring a team-high 23 points on Monday at Coppin State. Pellum was a combined 12-for-29 (41.4 percent) from the floor in those two games.

So far this season, Pellum leads the team and is second in the MEAC in scoring, averaging 18.3 points per game.
